Description
Arguably one of the nicest Morris Minor Traveller's in the UK. A beautiful classic in metallic British Racing Green which about three years ago was subject to a full nut and bolt restoration by Jonathon Heap of JLH Minor restorations. I spoke to Johnathon and he stated the car cost way above the asking price to restore. It is believed the Gentleman who had this restored only used it for less than 500 miles and then stored the car for three years.
I only bought it in the February Auction Sale at Mathewsons, unfortunately days after buying the car my personal circumstances changed (I will disclose if you want to view), I paid £25, 200 for the car (£27, 312 with commission) I have spent around £800 with various bits, wheel jack, inside mirror and light, new battery, indoor and outdoor covers, new hub caps, battery and a second set of keys, so please don't ask for my best price, the price is as stated and is FIRM no swaps or part exchanges. There is a vibration on the front grill which I have not got around to but other than that this car will certainly be up there amongst the best at any show and certainly turn heads in its beautiful British racing Green metallic paint.
As you can see from the photographs it has had a host of upgrades for modern day traffic.
If you go onto the Mathewsons site and go to the February results type in 540 (lot number) there is a load of additional pictures and also a video of the car and additional details, on one video after the auction Derek describes it as concurs as it is as clean inside and underneath as is the superb paintwork. The car is located in a village 3 miles outside the town of Ayr in South Ayrshire. Due to the change of circumstances this car will be advertised for around six to eight weeks. British Racing Green
