Description
1990 VW Scirocco Bieber Convertible
It started off life as a 1. 8 GT2, but was converted early on in 1992 with one of the Bieber convertible kits from Germany. It is correctly registered as a convertible on logbook.
As a family, we have owned this car since 2009. Quite a well known car within the scene.
My father bought the car in 2009 and it was black. He got it professionally resprayed in the newer VW colour Viper Green, had a new mohair hood fitted and new leather seats. Unfortunately soon after this it was declared a CAT D write off due to an engine fire. This was all professionally fixed.
It travelled many miles under my parents ownership to Italy and south of France and other parts of Europe.
Just about everything mechanical is newish. The suspension is standard height but barely any miles on it. Has the upgraded 22mm master cylinder and 9 inch servo. Genuine 42, 000 mile engine from a known source was fitted in 2021. Has a 4+e gearbox for relaxed cruising on the motorway, which was professionally overhauled before fitting. Always got what it needed and has been garaged its whole time with us.
I’ve had it for the last 3 years, and I’ve barely used it. With a young family it’s just not gonna get used either, and I’m absolutely gutted to see it go, but with other more practical projects I can’t keep the space in the garage for it.
It’s up for £5500 with no MOT. If it doesn’t sell I’ll get it through an MOT later in the year and price will go up accordingly.
