Description
1979 Suzuki GT200 X5.
This little Suzuki is something of a rarity in that it's a largely original, unrestored 1970s two stroke. Showing 14, 155 miles the bike starts and rides well with engine, gearbox and clutch working as they should. Charging system and electrics are fine and starting is either kick or electric. There are no leaks anywhere and from what I can see the tank is clean inside.
The previous owner carried out some works last year which included reground and chromed front fork stanchions, master cylinder and front brake caliper rebuild, new head race bearings and new tyres. Carbs were cleaned and exhausts decoked. The only non standard items are a pair of period Marzocchi rear shocks. Still has supplying dealer number plate. The owner prior to the above purchased the bike in the mid 1980s and kept it until last year.
Being small and light means the bike makes the most of its 23hp and it's an antidote to larger, much heavier bikes particularly if you're not that tall.
There's some paperwork with the bike with V5 in my name together with its original service book and owner's manual.
Will put a smile on your face......
