Description
Welcome to the sale of my 1990 Golf Mk2 GTI 8v version, this car is currently a restoration project after being taken of the road on 23rd March 2023.
Not 100% sure about selling this very low mileage example so will see what interest it shows.
The Golf will need welding to the drivers floor, small part of drivers side sill and offside front bulkhead near the battery tray. All the panels (from Heritage Parts Centre) for these repairs come with the car.
There are also dents on the passenger side rear body panel, have been told these can be removed by a no paint dent professional.
At the moment the Golf has been stripped ready for welding, all items taken off have been stored and labelled in a dry garage loft.
The car is very original and never been messed about with, paint is Royal Blue Metallic and original. The alloys are Oz Saturn and in good condition. All the glass is original and engraved with car Reg, the front windscreen does have a small stone chip but this did pass an MOT.
Please take a look at the attached pictures regarding the welding required. I purchased the car from Matthewsons auctions some years ago and then parked it in the garage, at the moment am a little swamped by two other classic cars one of which needs a full resto hence the sale of my Golf. Its basically drawn the short straw as my other cars are Alfa's of which am a huge fan.
The car comes with two keys and some invoices and old MOT's along with all the repair panels there are new inner headlights included. Unfortunately the service history is missing but going by how the car looks am sure it was well fettled in the past. The interior is in very good condition and the car runs well but a cam belt would need doing just in case.
Would be very happy to answers any questions and show the Golf to anyone that's interested as am sure I have missed some information.
Thank you
