In my ownership, routine maintenance has been kept up to date and any required repairs taken care of - mostly by HA Lock Mercedes Benz Specialist. The 4 x Bridgestone Turanza tyres have covered less than 300 miles, and the ever-popular W/ C124 wiring loom was replaced by HA Lock just before 98, 000 miles.
As you would expect from one of these bulletproof machines, oil pressure is perfect and it starts first turn, every time – even after a full winter in the garage.
After receiving a new tie rod end, full service and MOT on Friday May 1st, this beautiful car will be ready for its next adventure.

The interior is stunning apart from the driver's seatbelt butler missing its surround (as has been the case on all three C124s which I've owned), but both SB butlers still work perfectly.
On the exterior, the wheel arches are razor sharp. You could refurbish a couple of the alloys if you wanted to get close to perfection, but there is no other work required that I know of, apart from what's needed (tie rod end) to pass its MOT. Beautiful car, my pride and joy, but our new house has no garage.

I took a long time to find this one, with my specific requirements of: the smooth, efficient 2. 2-litre petrol engine; twin airbags; lockable centre console storage; black leather; electric tilt and slide sunroof. I was also hoping for Almandine Red and original, fitted MB carpet mats.
I finally ticked all those boxes when I found this gem in June of 2020, with just under 97, 000 miles on the clock. Mileage is now just under 106, 000.
It sails along easily with motorway traffic, and has taken us on many adventures.
Having driven just over 200 miles in the past year, and about to move to a house with no garage, it makes sense to let it go.
