Chassis number JD0027, one of the very first cars built by the Dutch sports car manufacturer.
Weight: 625kg, Ford 2L OHC 117hp and on the last mile, 10256 km on the odometer.
It has been fully restored in 2024-2025 (invoices to support) as follows:
Bodywork / cabin:
Stripping, cleaning and full painting (chassis, body, nose, wings, bonnet and headlights). Side cutout of the bonnet for fresh air intake at the level of the carburettor intake pipes.
Inside, removal of all original carpet and interior trim in felt and synthetic leather (dashboard, transmission tunnel and central console).
Air deflectors on the sides and above the windscreen, bespoke side doors. Supplied with a summer hood.
Engine:
Stripping, complete cleaning of the engine block and cylinder head (internal/ external) + primer and painting, new pistons and rings, new crankshaft and piston bearings, complete engine gasket kit, machining of the cylinder head and valve lapping, mounting of a PIPER CAMS 'Fast Road Carb' camshaft kit (+15hp) including push-rods, springs, improved lubrication and valve stem seals. Custom 4-into-1 exhaust manifold wholly redone.
Cooling system:
New water pump and radiator, all hoses and clamps replaced, custom-made hot-air extraction sheets, new expansion tank with support, also custom-made.
Air + fuel supply:
Carburettor reconditioning (2 x twin-choke DELLORTO DHLA40 +20hp) with additional intake pipes + filtration grills. All hoses and fuel hoses new, electric fuel pump and filter new. The two 20-litre tanks rebuilt as new to original model, hoses and gauge new.
Transmission:
Oil change, inspection, stripping, cleaning and painting for the gearbox and rear axle, both in excellent condition.
Braking system:
Front brake calipers fully overhauled (seal kit and new pads), rear drum brake wheel cylinders fully overhauled too, new shoes and all hoses replaced with aviation-type lines.
Both master cylinders also refurbished and the system runs with Eurol Brake Fuild DOT 5 silicone oil.
Electrical system:
New batteries + starter + power cables with addition of an electric cut-off.
Distributor, ignition wires and plugs new.
Electrical system completely rebuilt, all bulbs replaced and all instruments backlit and functional, addition of a double USB socket.
Steering:
Complete refurbishment of the steering rack with all new ball joints, added bearing support on the steering column (better guidance) and fitting of a new MOMO Prototipo Heritage Quick Release steering wheel.
Wheels:
Original rims treated and painted at Jantes Alu Services to restore the car’s original look + 5 new MICHELIN MXV3-A tyres. Spare wheel protected by a cover to prevent tyre degradation.
Other:
4 new GAZ Shocks adjustable in stiffness.
Pairs of 4-point LOOSE RACING harnesses, newly padded at the shoulders, fully adjustable with standard car-type belt buckle.
