Description
For sale is my 1972 Triumph TR6R Rickman Metisse
Genuine sale, I just have too many toys at the moment and not enough time to use them due to work commitments so trying get rid of some here and there and this is too nice of a bike to be hidden away in the garage not getting used. Summer is nearly here and this deserves to be with someone that is going to enjoy it.
Some recent works done and less than 100miles ridden since this has all been done:
750cc Big Bore Kit
Top end rebuild: new valves, guides springs etc
Primary side rebuild: New light weight aluminium clutch basket, new 7 plate clutch pack, new primary drive chain, new primary chain tensioner, new primary drive sprocket, new alternator stator and rotor.
New Amal 930 Premier Carb fitted (replaced a cheaper Wassal one). I have removed the choke lever just to make it all tidier and have no problem starting it, but naturally this will come with it so you can refit if you feel the need.
New Clutch cable.
New spark plugs.
Benefits from a Boyer Bransden electronic ignition with single dual output coil. Also the Boyer power box with delayed lights switching relay, and has a battery. The wheels were rebuilt by CWW from the previous owner, original hubs powder coated and laced with new stainless spokes and rims, and tires are pretty much new as well. I've also put some mirrors on it as hate riding without them, I don't think they look too bad but can obviously be removed if not wanted.
Its a cracking bike and needs to go to a deserving home where it can be properly appreciated. Couple minor points on it, there is a minor crack on the rear section of the seat fiberglass, see pictures, had to get a torch on it to show it properly as it's gloss black I never really noticed it until recently. Also a minor oil leak from the intake side pushrod tube / tappet guide block once the bike warms up, if you know these old triumph engines that's a pretty normal thing to happen.
I have the original barrels, and carb, and a few odds and sods parts and tools that will come with the bike.
TAX and MOT exempt.
Any questions please get in touch, whatsapp me or email me, I'll add some more photos this week.
Cash on collection or bank transfer, welcome to come and have a look at it but naturally no test rides without full payment in my hands/ account first.
