My 1997 Bentley Turbo RT LWB is the final, most exclusive, and most powerful version of the celebrated Turbo R — a model that redefined Bentley in the 1980s and 90s. Finished in rare Black Emerald, a deep green metallic that reveals subtle tones in changing light, it’s paired with Parchment leather upholstery in superb condition, Dark Green piping, and beautifully preserved wood veneers throughout. The photos do not do justice to the quality of the paint, the depth and shine are stunning.
Under the bonnet is the famed 6. 75-litre turbocharged V8, tuned in the RT to deliver 400 horsepower and 645 lb-ft of torque. Despite its size and presence, the Turbo RT is surprisingly quick, but it’s the effortless, refined performance that makes it so rewarding to drive. The sport suspension and firmer chassis tuning give it real composure without sacrificing comfort. There is also a discreet (filler inside petrol cap) professionally fitted multipoint LPG conversion with interior switching.
Inside, the craftsmanship is exactly what you’d expect from the last of the truly hand-built Bentleys — thick hides, polished walnut, deep carpets, and that unmistakable old-world atmosphere. Every detail, from the chrome switchgear to the traditional “organ stop” vents, speaks to a level of quality that’s hard to find today.
My Bentley is a lovely driving example, showing all the traits that made the Turbo RT so special: smooth power delivery, confident handling, and an unmistakable sense of occasion every time you take the wheel. It’s been incredibly well looked after, with 3 keys and fobs, and 17 RR Bentley / RR Bentley specialist stamps in the service record to back it up. Current mileage 91, 567 and original Specification sheet and owners manual.
I purchased my Bentley from DD Classics, the highly respected Classic Car company in Kew, London (look them up), in August last year. Redundancy and a decision to retire early and move abroad means a reluctant sale. This is a completely sorted Bentley and I am selling with absolute confidence in this stunning vehicle that delivers with style, pedigree, and presence. A fresh MOT will be added (due to expire in June). The Bentley has less service history in the past 20, 000 miles of its life and appears to have been abroad. this was something i did consider before purchasing, but DD Classics assured me of its quality and its proved to be the case. The recent work since 2021 has ensured anything that did need attending to was completed.
