1962 RHD Jaguar MK II
A true “Barn Find”
Currently NOT street legal or roadworthy and in need of restoration.
Last registered and on the road in in 1984 on German Plates.
Driven to and parked in a garage in Ibiza, Spain and not driven since, sitting for 40 years.
Acquired at the end of 2024, trailered from Ibiza to Palma de Mallorca. At the time, not running (wheels, transmission and engine locked up).
Since then, we have got the vehicle running, wheels free spinning and transmission working. Over 10. 000 Euro spent in parts and labor.
Engine runs EXCELENT and compression is VERY strong, better than new, and much OVER the original 2. 4 engine specs. Cylinder valve head has a “The Forward Engineering CO LTD” sticker. We suspect the engine was rebuilt and tuned to racing specs (possibly the transmission as well).
Forward Engineering Ltd was a company based in the midlands in the UK. It was founded and managed by Ron Beatty who was renowned for his knowledge regarding Jaguar engines. He built V12 engines modified for power boat racing and 6 and 12 cylinder engines used for motor sport.
