Description
Finished in Pearl grey with its original blue leather interior and walnut dash, this Mark II Jaguar comes with an astonishingly low mileage and a full family ownership from new. It has recently been recommissioned and comes with a meticulous history.
Originally purchased new in 1959 for £1, 644. 00, by a Mr Pattullo, from Clarendon Motors. The Mark II first registered for use in February 1960, just in time for his daughter's wedding! The Jaguar stayed with Mr Pattullo until his death, when it was passed onto his son in Law. Then upon his son in Laws death, it was passed onto his daughter. His daughter has owned the Jaguar since 1995 and is the current registered owner.
Previous to the Jaguars recommission, in 2025, it had been tucked up in a garage (under blankets) since May 2003.
There's lots of original documentation within the history folder including sales brochure, service manual and operating, maintenance and service handbook with original owners' details.
There's a hand written history, lots of maintenance and servicing invoices back to the 1960's, colour guide booklet, MOT certificates and inspection sheets, recent recommissioning invoices and older style V5 documents.
V5 document is present and registered as historic, therefore benefits from tax and MOT exemption.
Mileage is verified by the family and the MOT certificates within the paper work support their claim.
Recent recommissioning works include full inspection of vehicle, new battery, front brake pads and discs, remove and clean water pump and fit new gasket, new thermostat and gasket, radiator flush, new fuel, fuel filter, new fuel pump, brake fluid change, strip and adjusted rear brakes, new front sub frame mountings, new engine mountings, oil change, oil filter, new spark plugs, condenser and points, new coil and rotor arm, replacement of all 4 tyres with Michelin XAS and new inner tubes, new caliper pods, new master cylinder, fuel tank sender, neck seal, new fuel filter sump, sender seal, a full interior deep clean with a leather treatment applied, exterior multi stage gloss enhancement polish applied and chrome polishing with paint protection all round. This came at a cost of over £8, 500!
