Description
Series 1 Porsche 924 Turbo (1980) – original, recommissioned, dog-leg gearbox
I purchased this car 7 years ago and have since had it recommissioned after a period of storage in a garage. It has been carefully brought back into regular usable condition and remains a very original example.
This is a Series 1 924 Turbo with the desirable dog-leg gearbox and historic vehicle status (tax exempt).
Work carried out includes:
Major service including timing belts, filters, gaskets, oil, fluids and battery
Dog-leg gearbox rebuilt by a reputable specialist
New tyres fitted
Various recommissioning items to return the car to good running condition
Extensive paperwork and history file included
The car is very original and starts easily, runs well and drives as it should. It has the character and feel expected of an early turbocharged Porsche transaxle model.
Condition is honest and presentable for its age. It is a tidy, usable driver’s example rather than a show or concours car, and is not a restoration project. There is light age-related cosmetic wear consistent with a 46-year-old car.
The car remains largely original throughout and retains its character and charm as a rare and increasingly sought-after early 924 Turbo.
Additional details:
Historic vehicle (tax exempt)
Leather roof cover for lift-out panel. Registration includes "924".
