Rover 214SI 1995 For Sale.
Here is my low mileage Rover 214 Si in red, a solid and increasingly rare modern classic. It has covered just over 54, 234 miles from new and comes with a valid MOT until 16th November 2026. Mileage will increase slightly as still in daily use.
The car starts, runs and drives and presents well for its age. It would make a great usable modern classic for someone willing to carry out a few small bits of work. It also comes with one key and one fob, plus an aftermarket Bluetooth stereo.
Here are the good bits:
- The car is solid and relatively rust free underneath with no mention on any corrosion on previous MOTs.
-It's had the head gasket, timing belt and water pump done
- new radiator
- new distributor cap and arm
- HT leads
- Spark Plugs
- Coolant temp sensor
- replacement used ECU
Things that will need attention:
- The idle is a little rough and causes some vibration in the cabin.
- The car can struggle to start on a cold start but with a little throttle starts just fine. Although when the engine is warm the car starts up instantly.
- Thermostat is likely stuck open as the temp guage sits slightly lower than normal and will drop a little when going downhill but soon returns to normal. I have a thermostat and housing that will come with the car.
- The downpipe/ Flexi has a rattle but it's not a constant noise whilst driving.
- Age-related cosmetic wear including small dings, light surface rust on wings/ door bottoms and rear arches, and paint fade on some exterior trim.
The car still drives great with the faults listed above and please let me know if you have any questions. The car will be sold as seen.
