Description
I built this 750cc Triton from a pair of T140D crankcases converted to RH gear change and a TGA Manx Wideline frame. Build consists of-
Frame-
• T45 tube frame
• Dresda box swing arm to enable 120 rear tyre.
• Hagon adjustable rear shocks
• Roadholder forks with JS fork extension set
• John Tickle aluminium triple clamps
• Stainless steel Swan neck clip on bars
• Magura levers with front brake switch.
• Akront Valanced rims Front 19” x Rear 18” x
• Tarozzi rear sets
Engine-
• Lightened and balanced crank
• Lightened cam and intermediate gears
• E3134 cam shaft used for both inlet and exhaust for increased mid-range torque
• Narrow stem valves for better gas flow
• Parallel inlet port head
• Dresda crankcase breather mod with Yamaha XS 650 non-return valve
• LP Williams belt drive with 7 plate clutch (dry primary)
• Wassel electronic ignition
• Boyer Branson dual coils
• Dresda engine mount plates
• Stainless steel header pipes
• Dunstall silencersEngine runs great, plenty of pull, handles superbly well as expected from the Wideline frame.
2500 miles since engine was built.
Log book states Triton, 1 of estimated 200 bikes built by Westlake in the early 70’s. I've owned the bike since 2014, time to pass it on and get a new project underway.
