Description
A lovely and well-presented example of the Mazda RX-8, which has been cared for and maintained properly. The car drives exactly as it should and has benefited from a significant amount of preventative and maintenance work to address the common RX-8 weak points.
Within the last 6 months, the following work has been carried out at a cost of approximately £3, 000:
Ryan Rotary Performance ignition coils
Ryan Rotary Performance HT leads
Ryan Rotary Performance clean oil feed system
New rear brake pads and discs
New front brake pads
4 matching Michelin Pilot Sport 5 tyres
Major service including:
Correct spark plugs
Engine oil
Oil filter
Air filter
The oil feed system was fitted at great expense and utilises the most favoured system available, and is only fed with high quality Castrol 2 stroke oil with the correct JASO FD rating.
The only modification from standard is a custom cat-back exhaust system, which gives the car a sporty and purposeful sound without being excessively loud or intrusive.
It is properly warmed up and cooled down and has been cared for to the highest degree.
Although I do not have compression test figures available, the car starts immediately from both hot and cold, idles well, and performs exactly as it should with strong performance throughout the rev range.
The bodywork presents well overall, with only the usual age-related marks and wear you would expect from a car of this age.
Areas to note are some fading to the paint on the rear bumper, some small general dings and dents, and the air conditioning does not appear to work. Bar these points, everything operates as expected and presents well.
A great example of an RX-8 that has had the right money spent in the right places and is ready to be enjoyed.
