Condition of the car is good overall, sills and arches are generally clean rust wise with the odd bit that may need attention further down the line, underneath looks generally pretty tidy as well. With a bit of paint correction and love I think the car could look absolutely stunning as the bodywork is generally in good order. Previous owner fitted the new Lockwood dials, I find the speedo is a little optimistic so may need fiddling with a bit to correct but doesn’t affect anything.
Driving wise the car drives great, revs freely with lots of power from the engine, handles really well with no knocks or drama over bumps.
I’m an MX5 enthusiast and owners club member, I purchased this car as it was generally clean and tidy and I thought with a bit of work I could get it looking a bit more sensible and use as a runaround but I think it would be better suited to someone else as I recently purchased one of my favourite spec MX5’s and this is now surplus to my requirements.
Overally a pretty sound MX5, with low miles, and a lot of unique things going on, won’t be everyone’s cup of tea, but will appeal to many, and I think there is a lot of value, especially for the low asking price.
Very much priced to sell, you could ask a lot more for the car but I’m just looking to free up my space and time with a quick sale.
Viewings and test drives welcomed, strictly no timewasters, this isn’t a concourse car, but it is one of the cheapest MX5 MK1’s out there with a lot of unique features and additions. I’m sure the first to view and drive will buy. Any questions just ask.
