Description
At QuickandBig. com we are very sad to offer for sale, this stunning, low mileage Rover Mini 40th LE Anniversary. It’s sadly for sale on behalf of my best friends estate, he had owned it as part of a collection of modern classics, following his death last year, his family have now taken the difficult decision to sell the Mini.
Whilst not particularly “Quick” or “Big”, we love classic Mini’s. They are increasingly sought after, as those of us relive our youth (before its too late), the limited 40th Anniversary cars are particularly desirable and collectable, even more so in rare Old English White (of the 250 UK examples, between 25 and 50 were White) . Classic Minis never fail to put a grin on my face, full of personality, fun and ridiculously cute!
Our fantastic example, spent its early years as an exhibit in the Gaydon, British Motor Museum, whilst there is was registered to The Rover Group at Longbridge, it was sold by Bonham’s in 2003, a copy of the Auction Catalogue is in the fascinating file at accompanies the car, when sold by Bonham’s it had only done 53 miles, it then spent a further 5 years in a private collection, by 2008 it had only done 61 miles. It has just spent most of the last decade off the road in dry storage again.
Our classic Mini is 27 years young, but only appears to have actually been on the road for around 5 years, which would account for its lovely original condition. To this day our “40th” has only travelled 32069 miles. Its beautifully original.
The desirable Rover Mini 40th, was produced in limited numbers to mark the 40th Anniversary od the Mini’s introduction. Based on the 1. 3i Mini Cooper, the luxuriously appointed “40” boasted a full leather interior with brushed alloy dash. Externally a large bore tail pipe, twin driving lamps, body coloured wheel arch extensions, 13 inch Minilite style alloy wheels and body coloured roof.
The “40’s” 1. 3 fuel injected engine produced 63 bhp, whilst not the 300bhp + we are used to in Diminutive / Z Cars Classic Mini’s, it certainly feels nippy!
T951UOX was first registered on 1/ 6/ 19999, and has had only 3 previous keepers. Its presented in lovely and rare Old English White, complimented by dark blue leather interior.
Its accompanied by a comprehensive history file that includes, original leather document folder, with owners manual, European Directory, Security Info / Imbobiliser cards, Boxed Corgi 40th Old English White model, UK Market Sales Brochure, numerous road tax discs including its 1st one from dated 28/ 5/ 99, I assume to cover its initial journey from Longbridge to Gaydon (about 30 miles).
Every MOT also accompany our lovely Mini from: 2003 - 54 miles, 2009 – 3272 miles, 2010 – 10897 miles, 2013 – 14654 miles, 2014 – 22429 miles, 2015 – 31685 miles, 2019 – 32023 miles, 2025 – 32052 miles. Its most recent MOT was passed with no advisories and does not expire until 4/ 8/ 26. We will of course put a fresh MOT on it for its new lucky owner.
Also in the file are a number of old V5’s / copies charting its ownership history dating back to the Rover Group.
Numerous invoices also accompany the “40th” confirming it has had 6 services, plus other routine maintenance, its been serviced at:
2003 - 53 miles. Safety and levels check, undersealed, interior Scotch Guard, battery and number plates (main dealer plates still on vehicle).
2008 – 61 miles. Commission for the road. Inc (another) battery, brake fluid etc.

Our Classic Mini will benefit from having a 90+ point pre-delivery inspection ready for its new owner.
The “40th” comes with jack and tools, locking wheel nut socket and 2 immobiliser fobs, 2 sets of keys and a period Rover CD player (not fitted). It is also HPI clear, a copy of the report will be available for its new owner.
Many thanks for wading through our lengthy description, we believe it’s better to describe our cars fully. It is not in our interest to waste your time or ours, with inaccurate descriptions. It does of course have the odd age related imperfection (which used car doesn’t), but for its age and mileage it is lovely. Any inspection is of course welcome.
Its an honour to bring the Mini to the market, it really does tick many QuickandBig. com boxes: its appreciating in value, beautifully presented, great fun, well maintained, super cute and highly collectable.
Please visit the photographs again as they form part of the description, and use the “contact us” tab at the top of the page, to arrange a viewing / test drive by appointment. Part exchange, particularly of its quick, big or unusual welcome.
