Description
Beautiful original frame and engine 1959 Triumph Tiger 100 (T100) 500cc pre-unit twin.
A genuinely lovely classic British motorcycle with timeless styling and all the character you’d expect from a late-1950s Triumph. This is the desirable final-year pre-unit Tiger 100 model before the model was replaced for the 1960 season in favour of its unit construction 500 model. (just not the same)
Finished in a stunning period Meriden blue and Aztec white scheme with chrome detailing, this bike presents exceptionally well and has exactly the right vintage look for a cafe racer of its day. From the Ace Cafe to the Busy Bee, the cafe racer style would provide the antidote to the post war young generation looking for excitement and a voice.
The Tiger 100 was Triumph’s sporting 500 twin first launched in 1939 and one of the most iconic British motorcycles ever. It is a classic pre-unit construction motorcycle powered by the famous 498cc all alloy parallel-twin engine with separate 4 speed gearbox.

About the Tiger 100
The Triumph Tiger 100 (T100) was one of Triumph’s most successful sporting motorcycles and became famous for its lightweight handling and tune-able 500cc twin-cylinder all alloy engine used by many road racers including Ernie Lyons 1946 Manx GP winner and in the hands of Alan Dudley-Ward who won the 1951 Finnish IME.
The “100” referred to its claimed 100mph capability, which was hugely impressive at the time.
