Description

I’ve made a website with a lot more information. I’m not allowed to share the link here.
Send me a message and I’ll share the link.

After almost 30 years of ownership, due to our planned emigration I’ve decided to sell my 1992 Moto Guzzi Daytona 1000.

This isn’t a standard Daytona, but a special example with a fully provable history right from the first owner in Italy.

2nd owner since 1997
Original Moto Guzzi C-Kit configuration
Dynotec engine upgrades by Jens Hofmann (Dynotec GmbH)
SO Suspension chassis by André Stamsnijder
Termignoni carbon exhausts
Original Lafranconi exhaust included
Complete documentation from the first owner
Major service carried out in 2026

The bike has covered less than 43, 000 km and is in original condition with only light signs of use, consistent with age and mileage.

Extensive photos, videos, documentation and the full story can be found at:

- details above

Sharing is appreciated.

Kind regards,
Remmelt
I’ve owned this bike for almost 30 years and I’m the 2nd owner. I imported it myself from Italy in 1997 and bought it from Spadoni Stefania.

After importing it, I had it on a test bench at Ten Kate Motoren and it showed 100 bhp at the rear wheel. The Termignoni exhausts were already fitted at the time.

After riding it for a while with great enjoyment, a cylinder head cracked. The new head had far more material available around the valve seat, so it was a production defect. During inspection, it turned out the other head had already been replaced. According to Jens Hofmann from Dynotec in Germany, it can also be due to the original valves not being perfectly round.

I then took the bike to Jens Hofmann, and he changed everything internally, including a different oil pump, new valves, and he adjusted the flow of the cylinder heads. In his view, a V-shaped sump pan with an external oil filter was also necessary. Everything was set up on his test rig. Cost: €4, 336.

Original Moto Guzzi C-Kit—written confirmation from Jens Hofmann (Dynotec) is included stating that this Daytona is equipped with an original Moto Guzzi C-Kit. The extra cost quoted at the time was around €9, 500.

The engine delivers impressive performance and has a very strong character, which fits the Daytona concept. With five gears and smooth power delivery, it’s a pleasure to ride.

I then had the suspension set up by SO Suspension (André Stamsnijder) from the superbike world. As a result, the centre of gravity has also been lowered by about 3 cm, with sublime road manners—also thanks to the steering damper they fitted.

Over the years I went on holiday to the Alps frequently, and once I even went to the TT races on the Isle of Man. For that, I made a luggage rack that’s easy to fit.

The bike shows light signs of use consistent with age and mileage. The original paintwork is still there. Details are visible during viewing.

The photos show the original parts. The bike also comes with an extensive set of original spares:

Original Lafranconi exhaust
Original sump pan
Original front and rear suspension
Extra fairing section
Extra seat section
Original handbook
Various documentation

The bike has been in a heated garage for a while; since the arrival of the children I hadn’t ridden it for a bit. This has resulted in a nice low mileage of 43, 000 km.

In June 2026 it had a major service: injectors were ultrasonically cleaned, all fuel hoses replaced with ethanol-resistant ones, Viton O-rings replaced, timing belt replaced and valves set. All oil and filters were replaced with high-quality products. New fuel filter as well as an extra spare, and brake fluid was also replaced.

Due to emigrating, it is, unfortunately, for sale for an enthusiast who will look after it just like I have.

Kind regards, Remmelt
