Due to a change in circumstances, I am listing my Abarth 124 Spider for sale. I've (the 4th owner) owned the car for the last 2. 5 years and it has been the perfect weekend explorer, and I'm genuinely sad to see it go. It's a real head-turner and regularly attracts compliments wherever it goes! The car is in excellent mechanical condition and has never missed a beat during my ownership. If it wasn't for my new requirement for 4 seats rather than 2, I'd be getting years more driving out of her!
Major maintenance has seen the recommended cambelt and water pump replacement within the last two years, and the car is currently fitted with four Michelin CrossClimate tyres, all with plenty of tread remaining, for year round fun! Battery also replaced in 2024. 2 x Keys. MOT is valid until January 2027. The manual soft-top is quick and easy to operate, taking just a couple of seconds to raise or lower should the weather change unexpectedly.
Engine pulls really well, and the Record Monza exhaust will put a huge grin on your face! The combination of lightweight chassis, LSD, and RWD make this a fantastic car to drive, but I've still been able to return an impressive 45. 9 mpg!

Condition:
The car presents very well overall. There are a few age related stone chips on the nose, a small scratch on the passenger side rear light, and a small paint chip on the inner boot aperture. The boot lining itself has a few scratches to the plastic trim (right hand side), though these are only visible when leaning inside the boot. The velcro on the internal side of the roof, where it folds when stowed, is starting to come lose but it does not limit visibility through the rear window. A previous owner ran the vehicle on private plates, which is why two MOT certificates refer to "P22" rather than "RF". No work will be required in the near future, outside of usual wear/ tear items, as the critical Water Pump/ Cambelt replacements were done just 2 years ago (recommended every 6). Service is due in September, but will just be a basic one.

There are plenty of MX-5's, and Z4's out there, but the 124 is a really unique car on a proven chassis, and looks a significant cut above the rest! The Record Monza exhaust is an absolute gem with plenty of gusto and turns multiple heads on any drive, and the car gets lots of compliments when parked up. The driving experience is incredibly special, and you have such a sense of being attached to the road, with how responsive the controls are. I've enjoyed trips around West Scotland, Wales, and all over England, and hope that her next owner has just as much fun!
