KZ400B2 1979 twin.
This is a late model (1979) KZ400B2 , Tax and Mot exempt , Runs and rides very well. Imported from the states back in 1983 and seems to have spent the last 40 years mainly in storage with the odd trip to a mot station. HPI clear apart from note about being imported.
Tax and Mot exempt , cost me £71 to insure so cheap as chips to run and it’s a pleasure to ride.
Bike in good condition for age , paint work not original, paint job is ok but not going to win any shows. Electric start and a kick start , both work . Starts and runs well, goes through gears all ok , handles and brakes well for its age, all electrics work, you can ride this home no problem.
Just had oil and filter change .
New rear tyre and recent front tyre , both still have bobbles on then.
New chain.
New mirrors.
Fitted with GSM sealed battery.
19K on the clock, This ties up with the mots and feels right to me but it’s a 47 year old bike so can’t guarantee it.
Slight engine oil weep , its from either gear change shaft or front sprocket seal.
This model had was produced for about 10 years and this is last model (B2) , very early models had a few problems but over the 10 year production run Kawasaki ironed these out.
