Fantastic condition 1989 944 S2, over the last few years virtually everything has been gone through and restored.
Bodywork and chassis restored in late 2019 i believe. At this time it also had a glass out full respray, with all new rubbers on re-assembly. Also at this time, wheels were restored and powder coated and replacement top spec tyres fitted. Porsche style MO30 adjustable suspension was fitted along with uprated anti roll bars. New Porsche front and rear discs and pads fitted and callipers restored. Full suspension/ tracking set up was carried out. Full stainless exhaust was also installed. The sunroof mechanism was also restored and is fully operational.
I purchased the car in 2021 and proceeded to go through all aspects of the car to make it as near perfect as possible. Please see full list on the photo's as it is too much to write here. But the list includes all the important items like changing cam chain tensioner pads inc cam cover seals and bolts. Replacement cam belt and tensioner, balance shaft belt and replacement power steering belt tensioner. Replacement clutch assembly including transmission mounting. Replacement speedo/ mileometer gears. All fluids have been replaced at least once with the brake and clutch fluids being replaced every two years.
There are a couple of small trim items that could be made better however I am leaving these as they are original and you don't really notice them.
In summary I would say that this car is as near concourse as is possible without going through a complete nut and bolt restoration that would cost tens of thousands. This car is probably one of the best S2's around, lots of important new/ recent items but still retaining the originality that is so important.
Only reason I am selling is that due to a recent cycle accident (I was run into) my left leg is weaker and I find it difficult to operate the clutch after any length of time.
