Description
I am reluctantly selling my Land Rover Discovery 2 ES Premium V8 4. 0L 2004 due to having a baby and needing a modern alternative.
A brilliant example of an increasingly rare ES V8 model, in a rare color combination. MOT until March 2027.
ULEZ Compliant
Extended fuel tank, tow bar, side rails + ES Prem extras.
I've owned this car for the last 4 years and kept it serviced every year.
103k miles on the clock and still being driven. It's a magnificent drive.
It has been very reliable for me having driven it around 2200 miles a year on average in that time.
This is thanks to £15000 of invoices showing maintenance between 2012 and 2019 including a complete engine refurbishment in 2019 costing the owner £5000.
Car was put on springs instead of air suspension by previous owners.
ES Premium features
Superb sound system/ speakers. Bluetooth alpine unit with microphone replaced old navigation radio.
Electric seats all operational.
Heated seats
Wood trim and leather
Cruise control
Excellent quality seats with minimal wear
Dvd player
During my ownership I have carried out numerous maintenance including:
4 full services including transmission oil
New radiator
New aluminium coolant reservoir
New exhaust
New tyres
New Abs sensors
New Starter motor
New brakes
Wheel bearing hub
Air conditioning re-gas
New window actuator
The negatives:
The two sunroofs were both sealed shut by previous owners due to the common leaking issue these cars have. But they are operational and could be restored.
The temp gage on the dash does not work. Owing to how inaccurate they are on these cars anyway it's not of much use. It's something I chose to mitigate by getting a new radiator and aluminium coolant tank.
Penny sized dent in rear passenger door.
Car was waxoiled by previous owners but minor corrosion to coil springs was sometimes reported as advisories in recent MOTs. No overall corrosion reports in last 4 years of MOT history as the car is good underneath.
Minor oil seepage reported in some recent MOT history but not deemed to be a major.
Headliner is pretty good for these cars but has some minor sagging. Another common issue.
Summary
A cared for and rare Disco 2 V8 that are increasingly hard to find. Car is located in Whitsable, Kent or North London and is kept on a private drive. Open to offers within reason.
I bought the car because they are amazing to drive, enormously practical and have huge road presence. I have always loved this particular model and have owned them in the past.
