Description
A unique opportunity to purchase a very rare, genuine Mercedes Benz C43 AMG V8!
First registered in September 1998, supplied to tennis icon Tim Henman, thereafter, just two previous consecutive long-term owners, this fantastic Mercedes AMG remains in outstanding condition throughout.
The car has been driven, and has covered a low mileage of just 123, 000 miles. Backed up by a very comprehensive service history, it remains in the top 5% of remaining examples.
The car features incredible, original bodywork, finished in sparkling silver metallic. It remains arrow straight, with good, matching, panel gaps all round. Exemplary panel fit. There is a mirror finish to the paintwork. No blistering or corrosion whatsoever. The wheelarches are perfect, as are door bottoms, spring perches, boot floor etc.
The staggered 17 inch AMG alloys have recently been refurbished. Each rim is 100% perfect. Newish matching premium tyres all round.
The car has an excellent black leather interior. One of the highlights of the car, with electric orthopaedic front seats and ruffled black leather door panels. Hand made in the finest, traditional Mercedes fashion, the seats remain firm and supportive, with no tears or sagging. The hides are thick and designed not to stretch. Mercedes of this period used differing hides in accordance to which part of the seats were being trimmed, in order that they maintain their shape and prevent wear and tear. There is a lovely, rich, leather aroma inside the cabin of the car, no longer found in modern cars. The craftsmanship is very evident when seated at the wheel, which has recently been retrimmed as original. Simply georgous! There is the rare factory option of sky-blue carbon fibre filaments, along with the usual white AMG dials. There is no wear or marks on the carpets.
Original MB fitted overmats. Unmarked headlining, with electric glass tilt/ slide sunroof. All switchgear remains tight and crisp, everything in good working order.
The hand built, naturally aspirated 4, 300cc Mercedes AMG V8 engine delivers staggering performance, 306 BHP and is in fine fettle. It delivers an exhilarating drive, connected to its five speed, switchable, automatic gearbox, whilst the beautiful cabin remains quiet and serene at motorway speeds, with little wind or road noise. An excellent companion for those long European journeys!
Every MOT certificate and tax disc is present in the history file along with seventy (70) invoices totalling £16087, mainly by MB Loughton, MB Collingdale and MB Beaconsfield. Comprehensive and regular servicing with all the important works carried out, to include rebuilt subframe and differential. Air con overhaul with new compressor, blows icy cold.
Regular attention to brakes, ball joints and the all important, regular oil and filter changes, keeping the magnificent, hand built eight cylinder engine in excellent health. A short service has just been completed, replacement oil and filter. The oil remains clear and golden.
In conclusion, a rare, and collectible, Mercedes C43 AMG V8, with exceptional bodywork, superb black leather interior, very strong service/ maintenance programme, and very few previous keepers.
A wonderful investment, now gently appreciating in value. It will give its discerning new owner many years of pleasure and enjoyment, safe in the knowledge that they own a very sound, mechanically strong example.
