Description

1967 Volkswagen Split Screen Camper – Sage Green & Cream – 1641cc – Historic Vehicle – £30, 000

It is with genuine reluctance that I am offering my much-loved 1967 Volkswagen Split Screen Camper for sale.

Finished in a timeless Sage Green and Cream colour combination, this is an original historic Volkswagen that has been sympathetically adapted for modern camping without compromising its classic character. It retains everything that makes these iconic campers so special while offering the comfort and practicality expected today.

I am only the third owner and have owned her for the past three years. Unfortunately, business commitments have meant she simply hasn't had the adventures she deserves.

Powered by a reliable 1641cc petrol engine, she starts beautifully, drives exceptionally well and, unlike many Split Screens, has wonderfully precise steering that makes every journey an absolute pleasure. Whether you're cruising country lanes or heading for the coast, she puts a smile on your face every single time.

As a historic vehicle she is road tax exempt and will be supplied with a full MOT and fresh service for complete peace of mind.

Inside, the camper has been tastefully refurbished to an exceptionally high standard while remaining true to its 1960s heritage.

Features include:

Beautiful cream moleskin-style upholstered interior
Handcrafted sage green curtains fitted throughout, beautifully framing every window and perfectly complementing the exterior colour scheme
Walnut veneer cabinetry throughout
Walnut steering wheel
Stylish 1960s-inspired mini fridge
Solar power system, allowing the interior electrics to operate without hook-up and keeping everything running after the sun goes down
Mains hook-up capability
Integrated spotlights
Large approximately 7ft bed
Flexible seating for up to eight people (3 in the cab, 5 in the rear) with seat belts
Roof rack ready for surfboards, paddleboards or camping adventures
The result is exactly what I wanted when I bought her—a classic Split Screen that still feels authentically original, yet is wonderfully usable for modern weekends away. Every detail has been carefully considered, from the handcrafted curtains and warm cream interior to the walnut finishes and discreet modern conveniences. Nothing feels over-modified or out of place; it's simply a beautifully refined camper that blends timeless style with practical comfort. Brand new door cards set in a custom matching cream moleskin and tan diamond leather pattern.

Mechanically everything works exactly as it should. She drives superbly and is ready to be enjoyed immediately. If I were being particularly critical, she could benefit from a polish on her chrome detailing as she has been in storage for a few months.
With Split Screen values having softened recently, this represents an exceptional opportunity to buy what I genuinely believe is one of the nicest examples available at a fraction of what I originally paid.

If you're looking for a stylish, reliable and truly unique Split Screen that stands apart from the crowd, I don't think you'll be disappointed.
