For sale is an exceptional Mazda RX-7 FD with original preservation, from 1992 – a car that you can hardly find like this anymore today.
It is a German-spec vehicle with the original first German registration document. Based on the chassis number, this RX-7 is one of the first 53 examples delivered to the European market and one of 446 RX-7 models sold in Germany. Absolute rarity!
The RX-7 was last in the ownership of a single person for around 25 years. The history is exceptionally well documented and is accompanied by a substantial documentation folder. Among other things, almost all TÜV inspection reports are available, along with numerous invoices and historical photos of the car from the late 1990s.
Particularly noteworthy is the original, unmodified factory condition. Engine, wheels, exhaust system, radio, and all essential components match the original specification. The car has never been converted into a tuning project, and it delivers exactly the character Mazda intended in the early 1990s.
Of course, the original rotary engine is still in the car (matching numbers). As far as is known, and following a thorough inspection, there are no signs of accident damage.
For maintenance, extensive work has already been carried out:
- Dry-ice treatment and additional sealing of the
underbody
- numerous screws and fitted parts newly zinc-plated yellow
- interior soft paint refresh
- major service with replacement of all fluids & filters
- handover with a new main inspection (HU)
- fully roadworthy & suitable for everyday driving
- a compression test was carried out about 5, 000 kilometres ago
and the results are available.
The mileage is 135, 000 km.
Throughout its life, the car has been resprayed in places. This is only noticeable on close inspection; the paint thickness values are within the original range and any deviation is not measurable. Overall, the RX-7 presents itself in a very honest, well-cared-for, and technically convincing condition.
Anyone looking for an original German Mazda RX-7 FD with an early chassis number, a traceable history, and exceptionally good documentation will only rarely find a comparable vehicle.
