Description
I am putting my BMW E36 328i which I have owned for 11 years (approximately 25k miles) up for sale as unfortunately it is not getting the used. It has been upgraded to make it a great fun and more focused machine but very much road orientated. It is used sparingly and is in excellent condition for a now near 30 year old vehicle.
The basics are:
• 1997/ P plate 328i coupe manual in Montreal blue
• Non-sunroof
• 99k miles
• 3 owners – I have had it for over 11 years
• Comprehensive service history, see below. It was last serviced around 200 miles ago in March 2026 and also has brand new rear tyres fitted (Michelin PS4). It also had an MOT carried out at the same time with no advisories. Plenty of receipts to show the work done during my ownership.
Modifications:
The car has been sympathetically upgraded to “Clubsport” specification to make it a superb road car. All of which have been undertaken by BMW specialists during my ownership:
• Bilstein B12 kit consisting of Bilstein dampers and Eibach springs
• Eibach adjustable anti-roll bars (ARBs)
• E36 Convertible X brace
• Vibratechnics engine mounts
• Ferrodo DS2500 pads on the front
• Quaife LSD and shorter BMW Final Drive Differential, 3. 73:1 ratio (fitted by Birds BMW)
• E30 suspension arms
• Fully rebuilt Z3 1. 9 rack (2. 7 turns lock to lock)
• Cooling system refresh

Bodywork:
The car has been professionally undersealed and fully cavity waxed so is rust proofed. The body is in excellent condition overall, though as to be expected there are some very minor imperfections commensurate with the age of the car such as the odd stone chip to the leading edge of the bonnet etc. However, these are relatively minor and do not detract from the overall excellent condition of the car. No rust that I am aware of as it has been cavity waxed and is not driven in the winter.
Interior:
The interior is in excellent condition with no marks or wear on the seats, though there are some dead pixels in the OBC.
Other:
It has had a steering wheel refurbish at Royal Steering Wheels in black leather (1 October 2021). It comes on the 16” wheels and I have a spare set of 15” wheels and tyres available if needed. It is currently running on matching and quite new Michelin PS4 tyres (fronts fitted 13/ 10/ 22 and rears are new having been fitted in March 2026, around 200 miles old).
Conclusion:
The modifications really bring out the best in the car and it is seriously good fun with a wonderful road biased chassis and fantastic steering. Overall, this is a fabulous condition E36 328i with low mileage, low owners and comprehensive history.
In long-term enthusiast ownership and with the sympathetic upgrades, a truly fantastic car to drive.
