Description
Rover Mini Cooper 35 Anniversary - in great condition for age
Owned for 7 years, travelled 500 miles in that time, kept in professionally heated storage. A Mini collector for many years I am selling to raise funds for another Mini project in my fleet.
Iconic number plate - on the early Cooper 35 cars Rover used a selected number of licence plates from their 1960s works cars & put a 1996 pre-fix in front of them. P33EJB is a tribute to the most famous Works Mini of them all - 33EJB 1964 Monte Carlo Rally winner - Hopkirk / Liddon. A Mini Cooper with 33 EJB number plate - what is not to love.
One of 200 UK cars not an import - this special edition is both rare and stunning & IMHO one of the most stylish of the Mini Special Editions. In a deep, rich Almond Green paint, Porcelain Green Leather interior & Charcoal Minilites.

The car has had 23 services & 8 in the last 1000 miles.
Not surprising the car is beautifully responsive & drives like only a low mileage Mini can.
The car comes with a heavy lever arch file of all the servicing invoices, sales brochures & articles & the original sales invoice & dealer letter.
Exterior
Original paint - full of lustre, all original panels - no rot or corrosion to be found on the floor or sills. Every autumn the car is treated to a WD40 spray mist - I found this is the best way to preserve Minis.
Please see photos - there are 4 under paint rust bubbles (on drivers door, under osf headlight & one on each of the a-panels). These are minor & were on the car seven years ago when purchased. I have not dealt with them as they have not got worse & I wanted to keep the original Rover paint.
Tyres - Falkens all round
Underneath
Car has had no welding in its life - none.
Original sills - no corrosion still has glossy factory paint
Subframe - clean matt black Rover original with zero corrosion
Floor - please see photos - minor paint cracks but no corrosion inside or out.
Interior
No rips or fade to the green leather seats - rare green Rover mats are in great shape. The only detractor is a delaminating walnut instrument binnacle. This is a not uncommon problem with 1990 era Minis. It is part of the car's patina so I have left it.
The car has been very loved but needs more attention - it all works has some minor blemishes - but this rare edition, best edition after the 500, in this condition are very hard to find.
