Twin Weber Carburetors

Beautifully Built Robin Hood built around a 2. 0 litre Ford Pinto SOHC, fitted with twin Webber 45 DCOEs. Lumenition Electronic ignition and type 9, five speed manual gearbox.
Completed in 2004, this excellent example has the full large bore stainless steel tubular construction and full stainless steel bodywork. It has always been stored in a dry garage and rarely been in the rain.
The car is well specified with the following:-
Autosprint 2. 1 litre engine short sump
Borg and Beck clutch
Webber twin 45 carbs {new when car was built}
Westfield bucket seats with Sabelt 4 point harnesses
Type 9 Ford 5 Speed Gearbox with quickshift fitted
Lumenition Electronic ignition
Oil pressure engine cut-out
Weather Hood and doors (see pictures)
Since last MOT:-
New Lumenition ignition module,
New Starter Motor
New Malpassi competition Filter King 85mm for large engines with pressure gauge
New Battery
Needs tuning by professional. Previous owner used Circuit Motors, Castle Combe, Wiltshire.
Lots of documentation and receipts. For example of provenance Robin Hood Engineering sold the kit to the builder of the vehicle back in 2001, invoice present. The invoice shows a 30ltr stainless fuel tank purchased.
The car has been a great deal of fun, not only driving it but learning from it while enhancing or replacing components. I decided to SORN it to replace worn parts out of my hobby budget. I have replaced the original Malpassi fuel regulator to a higher capacity Malpassi Filter King with an incorporated Fuel Pressure Gauge (it appears to me to as the engine design is setup for racing - the new Malpassi is a better spec for 2 Litre engines ). The carburettors need some tuning work beyond my skills and time available, unfortunately, and rather than leave the Robin in the garage unused I thought someone else could make better use of it. For anyone who has the skills or access to a tuning facility this would be a brilliant next step in the project.
