Description
Please take a look at this MB 250SL concourse restored example offered for sale outside the usual big-block auction venues.
Unlike many survivors or otherwise restored examples, this has been a very methodic multi-year restoration by some of the best to achieve this like-new condition.
I don't expect to "sell" the most informed buyer here and for those reasons I encourage a personal inspection of the merits of this car.
Some of the rarest options include: Factory AC, and manual transmission & matching color-coded hardtop.
As a former claims inspector I can discern even the slightest of imperfections and for as nice as this MB is, there are 2 or 3 areas of note:
1: The canvas top rear lower corners has some v. small wear spots evident. These appear to be more of a scuff(?) but is not repairable in my opinion.
2: Driver Door trim panel has a small foot scuff on the door. It will require a mild repair and re-marhyde the panel to be indiscernable.
The Car is all-steel, no filler, no rust, no damage to anything.
Engine & Trans both professionally rebuilt, starts & works easily every time. Runs very quiet.
All panels are beautifully aligned.
All chrome and brightwork are undamaged and beautifully re-chromed to like new. Glass is clear and undamaged.
Tires have little to no wear.
No curb rash on any wheel covers.
There is a hardtop color-coded white with a stand that goes with the car.
The trunk floor is solid/ immaculate. There is a matching model that goes with the car and a sign for car shows with all pertinent details. There is a like-new soft cover.
There is a binder full of invoices, cancelled checks & Other details to thoroughly document the merits of this car. I hope to have a video of it once the rain in our area stops.
Car is mechanically sound.
The price is the owner's price. It's literally right out of the Hagerty Evaluation tool that indicates $209k.
I would argue this is among the best in the country for its merits.
I'm not soliciting any opinions on value.
No trades. Lien-free title.
