Description
1989 Land Rover 90 (not defender) with original 19J engine sat on a NEW CHASSIS with MOT until April 2027. The car was off the road for a while until the previous owner brought it as a project and spent a while rebuilding it onto a new chassis, new parts include:- Chassis,- Cambelt,- Brake pipes, pistons and master cylinder,- Clutch slave,- Polybushed suspension,- Fuel tank,- Replacement doors (used),- Windscreen,- Exhaust,- Battery. I’ve also had the rear brakes rebuilt. It starts and drives nicely with no smoke on start up, pulls nicely through gears and is well positioned on the road. That said it’s a 40 yr old car, a couple of things to note:- Changing down into 3rd is a bit clunky, fine if you declutch.- Passenger side bulkhead has had some repair work (top, see photo).- Doors/ bulkhead have been painted the original colour but stand out against the faded body.- These engines have a bad reputation, I had it checked over by a specialist when I brought it who raised no concerns. Perfectly useable and great fun as it is or a fantastic base to make your dream vehicle. Doubt you’ll fine another 90 with a new chassis and long MOT in a useable state for this price.
