Having retired after over 40 years in the motor trade, a couple of times a year I import a few classic cars from Japan and sell them on as a bit of a hobby to keep myself occupied.
This beautiful JDM Face-lift model Celsior has just recently arrived in from Japan. With a mileage of only 113k kilometres, It is in excellent condition throughout. At auction in Japan it was a Grade 4 rating which is as good as it gets for a 30 year old car.
The NCT certificate runs until Dec 2027. Being classified as Vintage, annual toad tax costs only €56 per annum.
This really is peak Toyota engineering. The second generation Celsior was fitted with the 32valve 1UZ-FE V8 engine mated to a silky smooth 4 speed Automatic transmission. Marketed in the rest of the world as the Lexus LS400 this is an exceptionally smooth car to drive and on the road it is very hard to believe that its over 30 years old.
The factory White Pearlescent paintwork and Tan velour upholstery are in superb condition. Fitted with the desirable and rare option of factory sunroof as well as A/ C. It sits on 15inch Genuine BBS cross spoke alloy wheels.
