A rare 1928 Citroën B14G, left-hand drive, offered for sale following over 35 years of family ownership. Imported into the UK in 1981, the car was purchased by my late father in 1988 and remained in our family’s ownership ever since. It was used throughout the 1990s as part of my parents’ family-run wedding car business, Vintage Car Wedding Hire. The car has always been garaged during our ownership. Although it has not been used much in recent years; my father continued to maintain and run it from time to time. The car starts, runs and drives, however it has not been out on the roads since my father passed away. The paintwork shows age-related patina, and areas that may need some work. However the car still retains the charm and character that made it such a popular wedding car. It is being sold as part of our late parents’ estate and is looking for a new owner who will appreciate and enjoy this delightful vintage Citroën. This Citroën has been much more than a classic car to our family. My parents bought it in 1988 because they loved vintage vehicles and wanted to share that enthusiasm with others. They went on to establish a small family business called Vintage Car Wedding Hire, with this car becoming a familiar sight at weddings throughout the 1990s. My mum took great pride in decorating the car with flowers for each occasion, while my dad meticulously cared for its maintenance. Together they created countless happy memories for newly married couples, and the Citroën became a much-loved part of their lives. The car’s UK history is well documented, and we have retained paperwork dating back to its import into the UK in 1981 and our father’s purchase in 1988. We hope its next owner will appreciate not only the car itself, but also the story that comes with it.
