Metallic Sable Grey with Sacramento Red leather interior, finished with a Red mohair hood.
Purchased from John Banks Main Dealer in July 2009 (have the receipt) and used regularly during the earlier years of ownership. It's covered very little mileage in recent years, including several periods when it was SORN.
Full main-dealer service history up to 48, 000 miles dating back to 2010.
To put its subsequent use into perspective, it has covered only 4, 400 miles in the last 16 years.
The most recent MOT was carried out on 24 April 2026 at 60, 029 miles. It passed without advisories and is valid until 23 April 2027.
Recent maintenance expenditure includes a new battery, a brand-new mohair hood (in the correct and original red colour and of which retains the heated glass rear screen - in fact, it's never even been retracted since we've had it replaced). Also a replacement (original equipment "Denso") lambda sensor.
All four tyres are also virtually as new (by means of tread and wear).
This car drives perfectly - exactly as it should; razor sharp handling, responsive, quiet and smooth - a genuinely enjoyable, and incredibly fun little car to drive which is already touching classic territory.
The paintwork gleams, and the car is a straight as a ruler with no parking dents or damage (it's been cosseted).
Points to note:
- The original stereo no longer works
- The inner dishes of the original alloy wheels would benefit from refurbishment (not really visible unless the car is on a ramp).
- A couple of * very* minor stone chips on the original paint that won't show in the photos.
For complete transparency, MOT history shows a typing error in 2018 (entered as 68, 076 miles instead of 58, 076 miles). The car has remained in ownership throughout this and mileage is genuine.
In summary, an unusually good condition, original MR2 "Red Collection" - Super low mileage, long-term low ownership history and a particularly good colour combination.
