This is my 1979 triumph spitfire 1500.
I’ve owned the car since 2019 and have loved and cared for it throughout. Never seen a salty road and always been in a heated garage.
This is an award winning car from the Birmingham NEC Lancaster insurance classic motor show. It won 1st place for the pride of ownership competition November 2021.
Featured at front of hall at the NEC march 2022
Also featured on Lancaster insurance main stand in November 2022.
The car comes with a vast history file including the original bill of sale with the original service book and a track of owners throughout the years with numerous receipts for work and services completed.
ENGINE - Current mileage is 96k. This is the mileage of the overall car but the engine had a full refurb replacement back in 2025 with only 5000 miles covered since.
GEARBOX - Overdrive gearbox fitted in November 2023, the gearbox itself was a rebuilt original box and the overdrive system itself was also rebuilt. Mileage on the gearbox around 6000 miles.
2023, full Twin stainless steel exhaust system fitted.
BODYWORK - images don’t do it justice, all panel gaps correct with no door sagging or rubbing. The paint is around 10 years old and has been kept up to standard since with the car being garaged all year round. As images show the frame is also colour matched and not covering in undersealed. There is no rot or surface rust anywhere on the car.
INTERIOR - moto lita steering wheel fitted by previous owner. Original period correct seat covers and carpets. Wooden dashboard in very good condition and no damage.
Temp/ oil pressure gauge fitted. Rebuilt radio also fitted.
WHEELS- no scuffing no rot. All matching pirelli tyres no uneven wear.
The car holds itself very well in high standard car shows. I have done all I wanted with the car and have come to a point in my life where I feel the car deserves something new rather than being parked up.
