Description
We have owned the vehicle since 2007 and has been useful both on and off the farm. We finally wore the chassis out a few years ago and embarked on a sympathetic restoration. This is a very original and genuine vehicle, initially owned by East Midland Electricity, so we wanted to keep it as near original spec as possible however some things needed to be replaced. The “new” list includes the chassis, wiring loom, stainless exhaust and other minor components. The “referb” list is the major parts like engine, gearbox, axles, brakes and bulkhead. We have kept the visible bits like body panels etc untouched, so somebody else can decide if they want a concourse vehicle. The engine and gearbox are all okay, she drives really well but not really fast and comes with the tilt frame but not the canvas bit, that too reached end of its life.
Besides the vehicle there is the option to purchase additional spares including engine, gearbox, body panels, PTO attachments etc etc. This vehicle is one of only 800 rhd models built by Land Rover and has the Land Rover rear drop side body fitted, so many were just a cab and chassis before body builders fitted various things like a workshop or a mobile radio unit.
