This vehicle was supplied new on 24th April 1974 by Opel Dealer J. E. Colback & Sons Ltd. Parade Garage - St Helier - Jersey.
The Manta was imported into the UK in 2011 and went into storage until I purchased it 7 years ago.
All the import documentation and V5 are present.
The Manta is registered as a historic vehicle by DVLA.
The Manta has full Opel service history up to 35917 miles.
I have had the paintwork refinished about 6 years ago due to faded paintwork.
The Manta is finished in the original period correct factory colour - Sierra Beige with contrasting SR Satin Black bonnet and stripes.
A small repair was carried out to the battery tray due to a leaking battery during storage.
Apart from this the vehicle did not require anything else.
The vehicle is in amazing condition both on top and underside.
There is no corrosion on this vehicle and the underside is as new.
The paint finish is very presentable.
The Manta had an MOT in 2023 with no advisories, the tester said it was like inspecting a new car.
Prior to returning the Manta to the road the engine was stripped for inspection.
It was found to be in excellent condition and so had various items renewed including seals, gaskets, timing chain, clutch and water pump.
The cylinder head was converted for unleaded.
A full new exhaust system including front pipes was fitted.
All suspension bushes, springs and shock absorbers were renewed.
The only modifications I have had carried out was fitting a new Webber carburettor because I prefer a manual choke.
The radiator was replaced with a larger alloy radiator to cope with modern traffic congestion…..
The original carburettor and radiator are included in this sale.
Comes with original booklets, service record book and both original keys.
The interior is excellent for a vehicle of this age but does have a couple of minor blemishes on the door cards.
The vehicle drives excellent as you would expect from a car of this mileage and condition.
This vehicle can be collected and driven home.
