Hi all im looking to sell my very genuine factory original z50j 40th anniversary model which were only made in 2006/ 07 of which 1000 were made worldwide and i believe only 20 monkey 40th were brought to the uk. This monkey which has only covered a genuine only 742km on the clock barley 500 miles on a 56 plate, is a 4 speed manual with a clutch amd the very last of the carburettor models before tjey went to fuel injection considered the last of the best. I bought this monkey years ago as purley an investment purchase and has sat pride and place in my living room ever since. It has all the original keys including the special 40th key and books still has the seat cover from new. Ive decided its now time to move it on as i fancy a classic car now and somthing i can use. Ive had the bike out from its home for last number of years dusted it off dropped the oil and put in fresh along with some fresh petrol and it started and rode as you would expext with 500 miles on the clock it has one very small issue from standing and that is i get a trickle stream of petrol from the overflow pipe on the carb when it runs it will be a very simple stuck or gummed up float in the carb but im very reluctant to start stripping it apart and would rather leave it stone original. I would imagine should the new owner choose to run it on the road you would be wise to give it all a a good check over and a good service but i think its value is in its originality and condoition.
