100 years old!!
Look at the cars of today and most will have long since been crushed before they see even close to half the years this beautiful Renault NN has existed.
Sadly the vintage car market continues to decline … owners pass, cars are left idle in garages and these exceptional cars aren’t seen anymore.
As a Renault collector I had to experience a vintage pre Regie model and this car was bought close to finished but never having run.
Luckily I was able to find someone with a passion who got the car up and running and it saw a day out driving round Beamish (even driving to and from .. slowly).
Since that day over a year ago it’s been shunted around the unit a little unloved and I’d really like to find it a good home.
Is it 100%? No … using it briefly has highlighted it still needs a few jobs.
The car would benefit from at a minimum:
- Repair to rear mudguard
- Needs 4 wheel bolts
- Dynastart has stopped working ... it was functioning so perhaps try a strip and clean
- Runs and drives but does leak water from the block due to some none blind bolt holes.
Could it quickly be made usable? Yes, though keep in mind at 30mph you need to pick your destination wisely and plan in calendar days not hours.
