Description
For sale is my 2007 Renault Clio RenaultSport R27 F1 Team Limited Edition, numbered 17 of only 500 made, finished in Ultra Red.
It has covered just over 44, 000 miles from new and presents extremely well inside and out. I’ve owned the car since summer 2024 and have spent a lot of time and money bringing it up to a high standard while keeping it as original as possible.
The car is largely standard, with the only known modification being a set of blue H&R lowering springs.
The original R27 numbered plaque No. 17/ 500 is present, and the car comes with two keys.
The original Recaro seats are in excellent condition for their age. The steering wheel has been professionally reupholstered by Royal Steering Wheels, retaining the factory-style appearance.
Cosmetically, the car has had a number of areas refreshed during my ownership, including the front and rear bumpers, bonnet and door handles. Replacement R27 decals have also been fitted.
The original-style alloy wheels have been professionally refurbished by The Wheel Specialist in Clitheroe and fitted with new OEM center caps. The tyres are also in excellent condition.
Mechanically, the car drives exactly as it should. The gearbox selects cleanly through every gear, both from cold and once fully warmed up, with no issues.
With its 44, 000-mile mileage, Ultra Red paintwork, original Recaros and very early No. 17/ 500 plaque, I believe it would be difficult to find many comparable R27s.
Viewings are very welcome and encouraged. I'm also happy to provide additional photographs or videos to anyone genuinely interested.
I purchased the car in summer 2024 and shortly afterwards had it mechanically inspected by a local Renault specialist. My intention was to identify anything the car needed and work through the list rather than simply use it and leave jobs for the next owner.
All of the advisory work identified during that inspection has since been completed.
Recent mechanical work includes:
Cambelt, dephaser pulley and water pump replaced at 44, 000 miles
Full service completed at 44, 000 miles
Front and rear brake discs and pads replaced
Brake pipes replaced
Front wishbones replaced
Anti-rotation links and drop links replaced
Gearbox oil changed
Cosmetic and restoration work completed during my ownership includes:
Front and rear bumpers resprayed
Bonnet resprayed
Replacement R27 decals fitted
Door handles restored and repainted
Steering wheel reupholstered by Royal Steering Wheels
Alloy wheels refurbished by The Wheel Specialist in Clitheroe
New OEM wheel centre caps fitted
The car has an extensive service history, with recorded services at approximately:
9, 000, 15, 000, 20, 000, 30, 000, 36, 000, 40, 000, 43, 000 and 44, 000 miles.
It was most recently MOT tested on 31 March 2026 and passed with no advisories.
It comes with an extensive history file including invoices, previous MOTs and paperwork covering the work completed, much of which is shown in the photographs.
The car has had four previous registered keepers, although three of those were members of the same family , son, mother and then father – before my ownership.
Throughout my ownership, my aim has been simple: keep the car as original as possible, preserve what makes the R27 special and complete the major mechanical and cosmetic work it needed. With that work now done, it’s ready for its next owner to simply enjoy and I’m confident they won’t be disappointed.
Please feel free to ask any questions you may have on the car on the details below.
