Imported from California in 1983, extensive restoration in 2011.
Based on MoT info, it has covered less that 4000 miles since April 2014.
In my ownership it’s benefited from:
New heater channels/ heat exchangers/ cables
New battery
Full shock absorber change plus fuel pump, axle boots and track rod ends
Engine rebuild. Full strip down and rebuild including new push rod tubes
Ignition system refresh, leads, dynamo, coil and alternator
Full Front brake replacement including discs pads and hoses
New clutch
New exhaust system including a full engine removal and refresh
Rear brake refresh including new brake cylinders and hoses
New front axle including steering and suspension components
Additionally the car is serviced annually - regardless of mileage covered.
2 additional sets of wheels are available with the car. Both are original period VW wheels in lovely condition. If the car achieves the asking price I would offer these with the vehicle.
