1972 MGBGT 13725 miles. 4 Owners.
I bought this car in 2022 and at that time it had been off the road since the 80’s.
I undertook a 2yr restoration of every single nut bolt/ component and upgrading everything along the way where possible.
I decided to go with a worn race car look so that it looked like it has just been pulled from a barn and raced.
All new inner/ outer sills/ castle rails/ rear quarter panels fitted. Sebring rear bumper flush fitted and and car deseamed for a smoother look. Car was then painted and then various undercoats applied then top coated and then sanded through to give a fake patina look. This car is complete rust free and I have many photos of the restoration to show. Car is under sealed and stone chip applied in wheel arches.
Interior is completely brand new and dyno mat applied front to rear.
All gauges/ clocks restored and all wiring refurbished. Dash also been crinkle powder coated.
Under neath many components powder coated and all nuts/ bolts stainless where possible. Poly bushed front to rear and shocks have been uprated. Uprated discs pads with rebuilt calipers and braided lines. New fuel tank and heater box rebuilt.
Upgraded starter and new alternator fitted. New brake/ clutch master cylinders. Carbs rebuilt and tuned.
I have probably missed some things but can answer any of your questions.
I have all the receipts for work carried out.
Car drives extremely well and has been to many car shows and always gets lots of attention.
Make no mistake this is a fully restored car with the look of a worn race car. If the car is not to your taste you could easily rub down and repaint in the original Bronze Yellow if that was more to your taste.
Overall a great usable car you don’t have to worry about scratching. Oh and by the way he is called Mutley.
