Very original, painted in 2018 but unrestored 1973 Citroen D Super 5.

Still has the original seat covers and has clearly never been used as a family car or stored outside.
Bought from the third French owner in the Lille area in May 2024 at 78, 500km. He bought it from a dealer to use for his grand-daugthers wedding in 2018. The car had been stored unused by the son of the original owner from approximately 2000 to 2018.
The dealer fitted a new fuel tank, refurbished the carburettor and put new tyres on it before selling in 2018.
This car has been fitted with DS door protection and very unusually the correct rear wing embellishment surrounding the rear reflectors.
I’ve done some significant mechanical jobs that were probably needed back in 2000. I’ve done a full service on it three times since I’ve owned it. 95% of the parts have been supplied by Citroen Classics.

Driven without any issue to Paris in 2025 and the Le Mans Classic in 2026.
The DS has now covered 92, 178km (57, 276 miles)
The car was fitted with a tow-bar at some point. Which I suspect was removed by the dealer before sale in 2018. Take a look at the way the boot carpet has been edged to accommodate the tow-bar fitting. Extreme attention to detail.

Why the D Super 5? Purer looking inside and out the DS or Pallas cars. Carb fueled 2, 175cc engine. Long ratio manual 5 speed gearbox, exactly the same as the DS23.
Why selling? I enjoy finding, driving and improving original classics but the one-in, one-out rule applies.
