Genuine right-hand-drive 1973 VW T2 Bay Window Westfalia with the 1. 6-litre engine and original Westfalia interior.
A very genuine and usable example which has benefited from approximately £12, 000 of mechanical and restoration work with VW specialists Evil Bens of Cornwall being completed during my ownership.
Mechanical work includes brakes overhaul, new master cylinder, new tyres all round and regular servicing yearly. Invoices available.
Restoration has included o/ s inner and outer sills, wheel arches, replacement door, internal floors, bulkhead and cab floor. Restoration photographs and invoices available.
Since being recommissioned by the previous family prior to my ownership, the van has been regularly maintained and enjoyed, including extended trips across Cornwall and Devon as well as overseas into France and Spain, proving it to be a reliable and enjoyable touring vehicle.
The van currently shows approximately 88, 000 miles, although the mileage cannot be warranted due to an engine replacement at some point in its history.
It retains its original character throughout and is currently fitted with SSP alloy wheels and a replacement steering wheel, enhancing its appearance while retaining the original parts.
