Overall good condition with no running issues. Age related marks, as expected with a 20+ year old car. 6 keepers from new.
MOT until January 2027, last 2 MOT passed with no advisories.
New timing chains, clutch and clutch hydraulics, front discs, pads and calipers, and new catalytic converters in the last 12-18 months, with the new timing chains and clutch being fitted in the last 2500 miles. In the time the car has been with me, oil changes have been regular keeping well within the 7500 mile change intervals.
The VR6 under the bonnet runs well and sounds great, even with the factory exhaust system. The Haldex all wheel drive system helps the car when needed. In combination the car gets up to speed well enough and can keep up with some more modern hot hatches.
Partial service history with all recent services carried out by local VW specialist. Some spares to be included with sale; brake discs and pads, original 17" Santa Monica wheels (in need of a refurb as they have been spray painted anthracite grey by previous owner), and some other miscellaneous parts that have been collected over my ownership.

I was drawn to the car as it is one of the rarer versions of the MK4 Golf, with less than 850 still on UK roads as of last year. The car is well specced with heated black leather Recaro bucket seats, GTI anniversary style steering wheel, with the only missing option being the sun roof, however the original radio was replaced long before my ownership and I have swapped in a head unit with DAB radio and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
