Description
Selling due to reduced future use as I'm getting on a bit.... although it's still ridden frequently, getting about on a proper thoroughbred is starting to become rather demanding.
To ease the situation, I've recently fitted the incredibly convenient original Norton Alton push-button electric ignition that will subsequently be installed on the final 850 model and which can be seen in photo no. 2.
It's one of the last 750s from 1974 with lower-compression pistons that give it a low-end pull never experienced in other 750s, electronic ignition, LOKEED disc brake and black matt instrument panel with odometer..... Registered with ASI with a Certificate of Historical and Collectible Significance, exempt from road tax, insurance €64. 00 per year, comprehensive detailed overhaul completed in June, brand new AMAL carburettors, new Dunlop K81 tyres, brand new GIRLING rear shock absorbers, original period handbook with registration plate.... etc.. etc... and plenty of workshop manuals and spare parts catalogues.
The bike has two seats: the original one and another beautiful handcrafted lower one also with NORTON lettering..
I'm also open to part-exchange for a smaller classic bike, any make, as long as it runs properly, is registered and has been tested.
The price will be negotiable after a test ride and once you've been impressed by the ignition smoothness and idle running.
