Every DKW enthusiast knows it – the legendary 3=6 Monza, the sporty DKW with plastic bodywork that set the hearts of motorsport fans racing in the late 1950s. The DKW 3=6 impressed the sporting world through series victories and ultimately overall victory in the European Rally Championship. This thrilling success story forms the backdrop for the DKW Monza.

Regarding the vehicle on offer: The 3=6 Monza Coupé presented here was built by Schenk, Stuttgart-Feuerbach, and is unique in many respects. It is the former private vehicle of Robert Schenk, which he drove from 1958 to 1962. Moreover, it is the only DKW Monza built on an AU1000 SP chassis, as well as the only vehicle with a steel sliding roof. Furthermore, it is the last of a total of 41 vehicles built by Schenk, making it a highly sought-after collector's piece of the first order. The vehicle features the original registration document from 1958 as well as the deregistration certificate from 1966 and has been completely restored over the last 3 years, including being repainted in the original silver.
Deviating from the original factory condition, front indicators from a Ford have been fitted, as well as rear lights from the 300 SL Roadster (W198), which today possess high collector value. Since classic collector vehicles often spend more time parked than driven, the owner, prior to sale, recently invested an additional €4, 300 in a comprehensive technical inspection at a renowned Hamburg classic car specialist.
