Description
Here’s my Citroen Saxo VTR 3K for a quick ish sale (Looking to swap but will accept the right money) Wanting a E36 BMW (found the one I want)
150k ish miles
Looking to swap so send your offers preferably a mint e36 bmw
Less than 500 VTRs left on uk roads register, insured and motd, such a massive head turner
So I bought this car 4-5 months back in a salvage yard and the owners of the place never really believed in scrapping classic cars they said so me and my dad bought this to fix it up
What got done to put back on the road
- Welding under boot floor (new chassis rails), under the arches and strut towers where it was needed
- brand new alternator and belt
- brand new full exhaust and aftermarket back box
- brand new gear linkages, clutch and gearbox
- full service was done 5k ago (just before it’s mot)
- New cluster so this one’s off by 5k miles so easy to remember.
- Brand new brake pads, disks and tyres
Much more just can’t remember everything we put into it
Modifications don’t for aesthetic and sound:
- back box
- new chrome deep dish wheels
- induction kit
COUPLE ISSUES NOTHING MAJOR
. Roof has lacquer peel - colour matched paint in a can will come with the car to have a little go at doing it yourself.
. Sunroof has a very slight leak on the passenger A pillar when it heavily rains - the pipe seems to be blocked I just don’t know where the hole is to blast air down it to clear it
. Idle control valve? is a bit stuck in the mornings on a cold start which is a very common issues with these but a cheap fix doesn’t change the way she drives just every now and then it’ll stay at 1500rpm when stationary just got to give the throttle a little tap to drop
. needs a wiper relay as setting 1 doesn’t work
Other than this nothing else is wrong with this car and is faultless drives like a dream it’s gotten me to the other end of the country countless of times with now issues…
Original AirBox and wheels will come with the car to take back to standard, front grill has been drilled into to put the 2 yellow spot lamps on for that classic look
Only reason for sale/ swap is I’m a massive fan of E36 BMWs and would love to get my hands on one before they get too expensive and old to own
I bought this because we went on a visit to a salvage yard seen this sat there, we enquired about it and it was up for sale, instantly me and my father thought that it should be brought and fix up as any other classic car should be so we did just that and since the time of it being fixed it’s took me ever where up and down the country and hasn’t skipped a single heart beat.
It’s such a nice car to drive,, not the comfiest in the world but if you’re into modern retro classics that takes you back to the late 90s early 00s then this is definitely the car for you.
