I'm selling my 2019 MX-5 ND2 2. 0 Sport Nav+, which has covered 37, XXX miles and has a full service history.
Before my ownership, the car was maintained through the Mazda dealer network. During my ownership, I've had it looked after by MX-5 specialist Paul Roddison, with a focus on preventative maintenance and getting the car properly sorted rather than simply following the basic service schedule.
Work carried out includes:
- Gearbox oil change
- Two differential oil changes
- Intake carbon clean
- Sport suspension springs
- Fast road wheel alignment
- Uprated spherical bearings
- Both window regulators replaced
- General servicing and maintenance throughout my ownership
- Tidy up of the suspension comoponents and protected for winter months
The car drives very well and has been completely reliable for me.
Condition-wise, it's a used car and I've tried to be completely transparent about this. There are some stone chips around the car, a small scratch on the rear quarter and the driver's seat bolster has the usual wear. Just some things worth being aware of.
The car has been maintained with long-term ownership in mind, so a new owner gets the benefit of a number of the jobs I'd want to have already been done if I were buying one myself.
What makes this particular car stand out to me is the amount of attention it's had during my ownership. Rather than just servicing it and putting miles on it, I've had a specialist go through the car and address a number of the things I'd want sorted on an MX-5 I'm planning to keep for years.
My favourite thing about it is probably just how much fun it is at normal road speeds. You don't need a track or a huge amount of power to enjoy it. Find a good stretch of road, drop the roof and it makes even a short drive feel like an occasion.
