Description
Downsizing my collection of French classics, because I fancy something new! So up for sale is my (almost) mint Peugeot 306 Cabriolet. It's the best (in my opinion) colour combination of moonstone blue with oxblood red leather - some of the special edition combinations available towards the end of production (which also makes this a Phase 3 model).
The car is in excellent condition and was my daily driver until a Citroen ZX estate took its place. The body work is near perfect. There is no rust at all. There is a small dent at the rear, but that's it. Still has all the original stickers from the factory.
Inside the condition is perfect. No tears in the leather (in fact, almost no wear at all) and has the original radio and CD multichanger in the boot. I can't really report anything else as it's mint! Everything works bar the air-con. I assume it needs regassing but as I only use the car top down I haven't ever thought to get it checked. I have got a NOS set of air-con pipes from Peugeot that will come with the car though, should they be needed in the future. All the windows work, although the passenger side is slower than the driver's side.
As you might imagine, it also drives very well. Starts first time, even after sitting for a while and idles smoothly. The clutch biting point is right in the centre of travel (I have owned 2 of these previously with very low biting points, and this is way better). The engine and engine bay are exceptionally clean. Passed its last MOT with flying colours. Only 38000 miles and I have the service history and handbooks.
I've owned it nearly 2 years and it's been amazing - really good in the sun and very fun to drive. It's also excellent on the motorway. I have two remote keys, both working.
The only negative is the roof - the roof itself is fine, but the rear window had split and gone opaque, so I had it changed by a motor trimmer in Maidstone - however, I had to buy an aftermarket screen and I think it's a bit small - hence it is pulling up the edge of the roof as it's quite taut. I think another screen would sort it properly. The roof works and the car is water tight, so the issue is cosmetic.
You can view the car in Canterbury, Kent, or I can send you pics/ discuss. Happy to listen to (sensible) offers!
