Volkswagen MK1 Polo Hatchback from 1981, very rare original UK registered car in good condition, running well and has recently undergone recommissioning.
These are very rare and do not come up for sale very often, there are very few left on the road.
Much work has been completed over the past 12 Months, including recondition work on the engine, the ignition system has been upgrtaded to electronic, the carb has been fully refurbished fuel system and tank cleaned, and exhaust replaced, the brakes have also been refurbished and the fluid changed. Car has a new radiator fitted and had a coolant flush, underside was cleaned and most areas waxoiled.
Some welding has also been carried out, and some minor body work also completed.
There are many spares with the car, and the replaced parts go with the car.
The car is running nicely and has been driven for short journeys locally , its been a nice little project for me and I have spent hundreds of hours getting the car as it is now. However I'm looking at getting something more modern as I'm advancing in years and this is not really the car for me, my time laying under cars and doing heavy work are behind me and its time for someone younger to carry it on and enjoy the car.
